Data from the 2013 B2C Content Marketing Benchmarks, Budgets and Trends from the Content Marketing Institute and MarketingProfs show that articles on a company website are the most-used tactic, tied with social media (other than blogs).
Staples (one of our clients) is one of those companies using brand journalism to reach consumers. We created a series of articles and infographics for the retailer's back to school hub. The content was designed to help busy parents and students make good decisions about the items they needed. For example, we wrote two articles on backpacks and our design partner, Tremayne Company, created a related infographic to illustrate key concepts from both:
