We're all familiar with big retailers' attempts to get us to bust their doors down on Black Friday and Cyber Monday and buy, buy, buy! After all, the holidays are a crucial time in retailers' or etailers' bottom lines. But the noisy sale promotions can make it hard for smaller enterprises to get in on the action. To overcome that challenge, many communities institute Buy Local campaigns, and the folks at American Express founded Small Business Saturday (@ShopSmall, #SmallBizSat).
