Happy post-Oscar Monday. I wasn't much of an Oscars fan till I moved to Hollywood and met so many people who worked behind the camera. It was cool last night to see Sandra Bullock give a cinematography award and then win for Blind Side, a film I wrote about for the Cinematographers Guild magazine. She said she makes friends with DP's first, because they're the people who make you look good. Here's my article on The Blind Side's cinematographer, Alar Kivilo: Point of attack.

Busy week ahead:

Speaking of cinematographers, I'm working three articles for the ICG this month. Interviews resume this week.

Steve and I continue to hack away at the FastTrac/Kauffman project. We hope to have several mods done by week's end.

I'm beginning to research the next Local Market feature for Architect magazine: Detroit.

Carolyn will finish prepping and begin reaching out to media for the Texas part of the Talecris project.

Have a great week!
