Is your public relations or social media team leaving people out in the cold?

Yesterday, I blogged about a wholly unsatisfactory experience with a large publishing house and its PR and social media teams. I wanted to update you on the situation.

When I got the notification that this company's only response to my negative tweet was to follow me, I wrote back:

Appreciate the follow. But what I'd appreciate even more is knowing how to contact a real person in your PR office.

They responded with the very same email that's listed on their website -- and that has never once yielded even an auto-reply. No response yet, but if anyone there is on the ball, perhaps I'll get contact information for an actual human being. A girl can dream.

Like I said yesterday, you don't want to be like this company. At every turn, I've been anything but delighted.
