Great to be back in the office after a week in our nation's capital. Washington was grand! I always love being there, and seeing family and friends is a real bonus. But after getting stranded for 9.5 hours on the train, we were definitely happy to be back here in Carrtopia!

The downside was being out of pocket for a full week and arriving back to a mountain of things to take care of. But first, this week's docket:

Carolyn and I filed WELL stories last week and are waiting on backreads. I file BizBeat today. So definitely pick up a copy of this week's Carrboro Citizen!

Claire and I continue to work on the Charleston, WVa., piece for Architect.

Steve's writing up his weekly blog posts for the National Journal and Rethink Learning Now.

He's redesigning the TTMS web site and I'm reworking the new version of this site. Stay tuned!

I'm continuing to type away on the first of my two writing books, this one for college kids. I'm hoping to have it ready for back-to-school. Egad!
