'Tis the season not only for the dread "wintry mix" (which is supposedly on its way to our neck of the woods today) but also for the skeleton crew. You know, the few of us who hold down the fort during the holidays when others have got their days off.
We try to shut down the Factory for the last two weeks of the year to give everybody some much-deserved time off. This year, though, we're open for business. Two large projects mean we need all hands on deck for as many days as possible. It's a good problem to have, though. We are really grateful for the work.
So if you're like us and are working over the holidays, or if your office has been hit hard by layoffs, check out my latest article for Monster.com: Working with a skeleton crew.
And since it's also the season of shopping, here's my monthly column for the Carrboro Citizen on the value of buying local, and how you can make that work: Making local work for you.
And since blog posts will be few and far between till 4 January, let me take this opportunity to wish all y'all the warmest greetings of the season!
