Monday? I wouldn't know. Worked all weekend. That's not something we try to do much around here, but we had an unfortunate convergence of projects that required it. This was one of those weekends where I wish all the people who think running a small business is so liberating and awesome could be a fly on the wall.
Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful as Hell that I've made a living doing work I love on my own and with the people of my choosing since 1993. I just need one day on-site at a client's to remind me that business ownership suits me. But there are times when our lean "corporate" structure means everybody has to work extra hours.

This week's docket:
I'll file my Biz Beat column to the Citizen later this morning.
Carolyn and I begin media outreach for the Texas Talecris event.
I'll wrap up research on a few pieces this week, including my spotlight on Detroit for Architect, and two of my three pieces for ICG.
Steve started work this weekend on a new book for teachers, and will continue his 5K-day writing plan all this week.
He and I also will keep plugging away on the FastTrac/Kauffman project, with me doing most of the writing and Steve doing the editing.
Better get to it. Have a great week, y'all!
